An Evening of Mini Photo Shoots and Abstract Portrait Collaging with Becka Rodgers and Leslie Hart.

What to Expect:

  • Have your portrait taken by Becka Rodgers (digital and B/W copy provided).
  • Use your B/W copy to create a collage using magazine/book images, words & letters, colorful painted papers, and affirmations (positive messages).
  • All materials provided.

Join Leslie Hart for an afternoon of collaging at Taylors Mill! Get creative as we explore the art of collage while making artist trading cards and jumbo journal cards. We will start off the workshop with a FUN round robin trading card. I will guide you through the process of creating your artist trading cards and jumbo journal cards using playing cards and magazine/book images, words, letters and misc. colorful papers. Help me use up my paper stash!!!

Don't miss this opportunity to learn new techniques and express yourself through the wonderful world of collage. Grab your friends and come join us in this creative process!

All materials provided including magazines, hand painted papers, book pages, stickers and more! You don't need to bring anything except maybe your journal but not required.

ZINE WORKSHOP!

Have you ever wondered what a "zine" is?

Wikipedia defines the word zine as a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via a copy machine. Zines are the product of either a single person or of a very small group, and are popularly photocopied into physical prints for circulation.

Join us for an afternoon of collaging at Taylors Mill April 6, 2024 from 3-4:30pm! 

~Together I will show you how to fold an 8 page zine out of one piece of paper and then we will collage in our zine.  

~We will discuss the wonderful world of mail art as we create a collage zine for you to share with the world! 

~We will discuss the various avenues of mail art and how you can spread your ideas and view points with just one zine!!

All materials provided including magazines, hand painted papers, book pages, stickers and more! You don't need to bring anything.

A fun collage workshop for those who like scissors and glue!


✂️Come join us for a creative evening of cutting, pasting and socializing 

at Woodbine Studio & Gallery.

We will start off with a fun and easy collaborative project before working on your own collage project inspired by the lovely artwork of Nancy Mary Jaramillo and Catherine Labbe that will be hanging all around you. All materials will be provided, from books and magazines to colorful painted papers and cut outs.

🌟 No experience is needed and all abilities are welcome, this event is perfect for everyone!

Please feel free to bring your own snack or beverage after a long day at work.

Woodbine Studio & Gallery is located in the Meyers Center on Rutherford Road near Stone Lake and North Pleasantburg.
